While metal may transmit sound more than other materials, keep in mind this key element when considering the noise factor of your metal roof:
- Architectural metal panels are the final layer of a series of materials required for installation.
There are variations, but it narrows down to these required basics:
1. Decking
2. 1-2 Underlayments
3. Panels
So in the end, most of the noise from the rain is absorbed by the different layers, and you won’t even feel the difference from one roof system to another.
