We would like to give a HUGE thank you to all the teams, sponsors, volunteers, Amish & businesses that donated to make the 20th annual Heuvelton Fire Auxiliary golf tournament a success. 🏌‍♀️

⛳️ Our hosts John & Jeff at Emerald Greens Golf Course were welcoming, professional and supported the growth of teams.

Shout out to Tel, Inc for sponsoring the first place prize, awarded to Team Brett Bailey, pushed ahead by Mike Ashley's hole-in-one on #7. Congratulations! 👏

Another shout out to Karrie Dodd for donating back her Ace of Clubs winnings. ♣️

At this years annual fire department banquet, we were able to make a considerable donation to the Heuvelton Volunteer Fire Department Inc. totaling over $8,500. All of this would not have been possible without the support of our community participating in our various fundraisers throughout the year, so we want to sincerely thank you all!

In addition to the monetary donation, we were also able to purchase a Super Vac vent fan. This vent fan is lighter and easier to operate as all you have to do is hit a button for it to start up. It is more efficient for all of our members to operate as it is on wheels. The fan will be used at house fires or for the United Helpers Assisted Living building for positive and negative pressures to clear houses of smoke.

As always, we would like to thank the fire department again for their countless hours in ensuring the safety of our community by taking time away from your families and risking your lives to take care of others!

It was a busy day for the Heuvelton Volunteer Fire Department Inc. today. 👨‍🚒
We would like to thank Stewart's in Ogdensburg for donating 2 boxes of coffee ☕️, Ogdensburg Pizza Hut for donating 6 pizzas, and Uncle Mark's Deli for donating pizzas in today's response! 🍕

We also want to thank the Morristown Auxiliary for being great partners in assisting with transporting food and drink to the fires.

Thank you to the community for coming together to help us today at the breakfast when the fire department had to leave to attend the several calls! 🚒

Congratulations Mike Hebert! 👏👏

At our meeting tonight, we announced the St. Lawrence County Fire Chiefs Association 2023 Firefighter of the Year is Mike Hebert, Heuvelton Volunteer Fire Department Inc.

From his nomination letter:

“Overall, Mike is what you want every firefighter to be like. He is always going above and beyond what is expected as a volunteer. He’s always crediting everyone else’s actions and never crediting his even though he’s the one deserving the merit. On behalf of the Heuvelton Volunteer Fire Department, it is our pleasure to nominate Michael Hebert for this year’s Firemen of the Year.”
