🏀🎓 Today is a bittersweet day at Howard Walker’s True Value!

Today is Kayden’s last day with us as he wraps up his summer and heads to Schreiner University to continue his education and basketball journey as a Mountaineer.

We want to thank Kayden for all of his hard work, his positive attitude, and the outstanding service he’s provided to our customers this summer. He’s been a valued part of our team, and we couldn’t be more excited to see what’s ahead for him.

If you’re in the store today, stop by and wish him good luck before he heads off to this exciting new chapter!

I am incredibly proud of Julie Walker Martin for being honored with the Beacon Award from Hardware Connections for Best New Retail Store. This prestigious national award recognizes excellence among independent hardware stores across the United States and is a testament to Julie's vision, leadership, and hard work.

I know her father, Howard Walker, would be beaming with pride. This achievement reflects not only Julie's dedication, but also the values, integrity, and work ethic he instilled and exemplified throughout his life.

A heartfelt thank you to Kellye Waller of True Value for her support during our early years, to True Value/Do it Best for nominating Julie, to Hardware Connections for recognizing outstanding independent hardware retailers, and to the City of Henrietta for its continued support. We are truly grateful for everyone who has been part of this incredible journey.
