We are thrilled to highlight the newly completed Henderson Collegiate Multipurpose Center, a 33,000 square foot space designed to uplift, energize, and empower students every single day. 🏫✨

This new facility features a combined gymnasium and auditorium, a fully equipped dance studio, a dedicated band room, and a bright, spacious main lobby that welcomes students and families with pride. Each space was thoughtfully crafted to support creativity, movement, and community connection. Our Henderson Team is proud to stand behind the engineering that makes this building function seamlessly.

Thoughtful Plumbing, Mechanical, Electrical, and Fire Alarm design is what ensures that environments like this stay safe, efficient, and ready to serve students for years to come.

During our recent tour of the space, we saw firsthand how this new center is already transforming student life. From energetic basketball games to immersive learning experiences to vibrant Parent Pride Night events, the center has quickly become a place filled with unity, celebration, and school spirit. 💙🏀

👋 Meet Our Newest Henderson Region Stratus Team Member, Jacob Dresbach! 👋

Jacob joined us last month as a Design Engineer I, and we are thrilled to have him bringing fresh talent, curiosity, and passion to our growing team. 🎓 Tell us a little about your background: "I recently graduated from West Virginia University with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and I am a certified EI in North Carolina. I am originally from Rochester, NY and excited to begin my engineering career with the Stratus Team."

💭 What inspired you to join the Stratus Team: "Throughout the hiring process, everyone was incredibly friendly and welcoming. I felt a real connection here that I did not experience elsewhere. I was also drawn to the flexibility and variety of work, including the chance to learn across multiple trades rather than being limited to one discipline."

⚙️ How have your first few weeks been: "Very positive. I am surrounded by a knowledgeable and supportive team that is always willing to teach and help me grow. I am learning more every day and I have enjoyed the mix of project work and hands-on field visits."

🚀 Henderson’s Future Just Broke Ground! 🚀

We’re back on your feed and coming in strong with something BIG! Yesterday, members of our Kilian Engineering team joined an incredible crowd for the groundbreaking of the new Henderson Family YMCA — a project overflowing with community pride and excitement! 💙

This future 60,000+ sq. ft. hub will feature open gyms, an indoor pool, wellness facilities, and vibrant spaces for neighbors to connect. But behind every amazing building is a network of systems that make it all work — and that’s where we come in. ⚙️✨

Kilian Engineering is proud to lead the Plumbing, Mechanical, and Electrical (PME) designs for this transformative project. These systems are the quiet heroes that keep spaces comfortable, safe, efficient, and ready to serve the community day after day.

🎉💙 Last Friday, we celebrated a very special member of our Kilian family—our Administrative Lead, Kathy Taylor—on her retirement!

For more than five years, Kathy had been the heart of our office operations. From sealing plans, to being our internal plotter wiz, to making sure every detail behind the scenes ran smoothly—she truly was our office superhero. 🦸‍♀️✨

Kathy’s hard work, dedication, and kind spirit touched every part of our company, and we are already feeling the impact of her absence. While we will miss her dearly, we are so excited for her as she begins this new and well-deserved chapter of life. 🌿☀️

🎉 Big news from the Kilian Engineering Henderson office — Brandon Lawrence and Ethan Cole have officially PASSED their Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exams! 🎓📚

This exam is a major milestone in an engineer’s career — it’s the first big step toward becoming a licensed Professional Engineer (PE), showing mastery of core engineering principles and commitment to the highest standards of the profession. 💡🛠️

Brandon and Ethan have put in countless hours of hard work and late-night studying, and we couldn’t be prouder of their dedication. They're now one step closer to earning that coveted PE license, and we can’t wait to see all the amazing things they’ll accomplish in the field. 👏
