Happy Pi Day! 🥧

Today we celebrate π (3.14159…), one of the most important numbers in mathematics — and a number that plays a surprisingly big role in the quartz and borosilicate glass industry.

At Zindak, π shows up in many parts of the science and technology behind the quartz and Pyrex glass products used in laboratories, semiconductor processing, and industrial applications.

Here are a few ways π connects to scientific glass manufacturing:

• Quartz & Pyrex Tubing Geometry – Calculating the circumference, cross-sectional area, and volume of rods and tubes all rely on π. These measurements determine material usage, weight, and internal reactor volumes.
