It is with deep sadness that we inform you of the passing of our dear friend and retired co-owner of W.H. Duffill, Inc., Robert Earl Adelsperger (Bob).
Bob passed away early on April 1, 2026, surrounded by his family. He leaves behind his partner of 60 yrs., the love of his life, his wife Dorothy. He also leaves his four daughters (Maureen, Kelly, Susan, and Cheryl) along with five grandchildren.
Bob was co-owner/ Vice President of W.H. Duffill Inc. in Hazel Park, MI for 50 yrs.
He joined Tom Bryant as his partner in 1967, after leaving Great Lakes Rubber Company, and they continued to grow the business together with sales, rentals and repairs of products from leading and up and coming manufacturers.
Bob enjoyed playing golf, tennis, and hunting. It brought him joy to tell stories of how he spent his summers as a young man right out of school, helping to build a cottage in Alpena with his father. He would light up with pride when he talked about it!
Robert Adelsperger was more than just a boss to several of the employees of
W.H. Duffill, Inc. A few of us worked with him for over 30 years and he treated us as part of his family. He was well known and a respected businessman in the Hazel Park community. He will be missed and never forgotten by his long-time friends and neighbors. May he Rest in Peace.
