Roads don’t rebuild themselves. Crews do.

From the milling operator cutting out worn pavement to the team, dialing in the mix and getting the surface back down before traffic picks up, every step takes coordination, experience and the right approach for the job.

That’s where methods like Cold-in-Place Recycling (CIR) and Full Depth Reclamation (FDR) come into play. Some jobs call for removing and reusing the surface. Others need crews to go deeper, rebuilding the base and strengthening what’s underneath. Either way, it’s about choosing the right process to keep work moving, keep costs in check and minimize disruption for drivers.

This annual scholarship honors the lasting legacy of RDO leaders Steve Connelly and Mark Kreps, supporting students who reflect their entrepreneurial spirit, strong work ethic and commitment to serving others.
