Happy 1st Heavenly Birthday to our Stephanie. There is not a day that goes by that we are not thinking of you and missing you! 💔 The best receptionist a company could ever ask for and Stephanie was SO much more than a receptionist. She was our friend, a great listener, made our office a happy place and always had us laughing! We ALL miss her SO MUCH. I hope you are having the best day and know we are celebrating you today through our tears! Love you, big! 🎉❤️🥰🥳

Well…the sadness continues within our work family. One of our key employees, Johnnie “Leon” Roberts (my brother from another mother) lost his wife, Vanessa Taylor Roberts Friday night. They have been together for 30 + years.

Vanessa was one special lady. Always so nice and so caring. 💔

Vanessa has been sick and has been in the ICU unit for the past two weeks. Her husband, Leon would stay with her each and every night then get up and come to work then do it all over again the next day. Leon is one of the hardest working men I have seen. My father raised Leon pretty much and he started working for us on our farm when he was 13 then came on to work in the foundry. The Roberts family has been our family for as long as I can remember. Leon’s father ran our furnaces until the day he retired.

I ask everyone to please lift the Roberts and Taylor families up in prayer as they make arrangements this week. Vanessa will be missed but never forgotten. Thankful for all the memories. 💔❤️🙏

We have been super fortunate with some AMAZING employees over the years but yesterday we lost one WAY too soon! Our receptionist, Stephanie Hartfield passed away Tuesday, April 23, 2024 unexpectedly. If anyone called in here you more than likely talked to Stephanie. She has been with us for nearly 30 years. Everyone knows that we spend more time with the people that we work with than our own families and Stephanie Hartfield was definitely family and will always be a part of our family and history at Dews Foundry. When you walked in our front door, you were greeted by Stephanie’s beautiful smile and a heart that was bigger than big! If you wanted to know what was going on; you went to Stephanie. She kept everything running smoothly and our front office was run with a firm hand. She had the pulse on everything. Stephanie had a wit about her like no other; we definitely have hurt on days from laughing and I only regret we didn’t push her to write the book. Oh, the stories she could tell.
Stephanie Hartfield, I hope you know how much you are going to be missed, how much you are loved, and how you will always hold a very special place in our hearts. You are family and you will always be family. Much love and prayers out to the Hartfield and Lowery families. We will see you again, our friend! 💔🙏❤️

We said, “Happy Retirement” today to Joe Hinton. He gave us a great 20 years and will be missed. He is one of the few left with that Awesome “Old School” mentality of ethics and morals. We hope you enjoy retirement and don’t let your son work you too hard.
