Tech tip Thursday: Can you spot the odd weld out? This is the difference between a single-phase resistance weld and our three-phase resistance welds. You’ll notice if you swipe and watch the video you’ll see sparks flying…This is an indication that the contact was poor between surfaces and there were contaminants present, resulting in a poor weld. In today’s age of high horsepower LS swaps where structural strength is pivotal, don’t trust these “new panels” to do the job. Just like rust underneath EDP, we’ve come across hundreds of failed welds just like this.

A little BTS shots from the shop with and their Slammed Spec Blazer chassis. We accepted the challenge to put the Retroworks spin on using a factory floor to go up and over the notch using factory mounts and crossmembers…just wait until you see the end result. It’s clean!
