We're excited to announce an opening for a Retail Sales Associate at Brown's Flooring & Design. This is a great opportunity for team members who enjoy working with customers and are looking to grow their knowledge in flooring, paint, kitchen & bath products, and home design solutions.

SCOPE OF WORK: The Retail Sales Associate is responsible for providing exceptional customer service while supporting daily retail operations. This role assists customers with product selection, project estimates, sales transactions, special orders, and general product knowledge. The position also helps maintain inventory, merchandising, store organization, and a clean, safe work environment. Successful candidates will be dependable, customer-focused, organized, and eager to learn. Previous retail experience is preferred but not required.

We are proud to recognize our Component Designer/Trainer, Eddie Elmer, who will celebrate 3 years with ProTec Panel & Truss on September 25th!

Since joining the team, he has spent nearly his entire tenure designing components, with a brief five-month experience in sales early last year. His knowledge, dedication, and commitment to helping others succeed have made a lasting impact on our organization.

His passion for mentoring new designers helps strengthen our team and supports the next generation of industry professionals.

Outside of work, he enjoys car performance projects, home improvement, golf, and Bible study.

Community partnerships make a difference! 🚲❤️

Barry County Lumber and ProTec were proud to support the Very Barry Family Event held June 6 at Tyden Park in Hastings, a free community event that connects local families with valuable resources, activities, and opportunities. The event welcomed families from across Barry County and featured free bicycle helmets for children through the efforts of the Hastings Rotary Club, along with the giveaway of 36 children's bicycles.

To help make the day a success, Barry County Lumber and ProTec provided transportation and event support, including our box van, folding tables, chairs, a generator, signage, and additional logistical assistance throughout the event.
We are grateful for the opportunity to partner with organizations that invest in the health, safety, and well-being of local families. Thank you to everyone who helped create a memorable day for the children and families of Barry County!

In observance of Memorial Day, Brown’s Carpet One Floor & Home and Barry County Lumber will be closed on Saturday, May 23rd and Monday, May 25th.

This time allows our team members to honor the holiday and spend meaningful time with their families.
