We went to the 4th revision of our tank bulkhead fittings that uses a o-ring and gets rid of the nylon washers for better sealing. These are available in both 3/8 npt (pingle guzzler) and 1/4" npt (standard banshee pingle). I like to use a 7/8 step bit to drill the holes in the tank.
