This is the knife I've been working on for my friend. I got some handle material coming for it that will really make it POP. This isn't done yet I still need to draw it out if you reference my upload before this one. That's what this knife is supposed to look like when it's finished. I should have it close to done by the end of next week.

While I make kitchen knives and mainly chef knives I am trying to branch out to clevers and camping/utility knives that might not be as sharp but will hold their edge better than most.

Remember sketching helps hahaha it's not for everyone but I try to sketch out what I'm making and I think it helps me as a rough guide for what I'm doing.
The more you do it the better you'll get at it.

Finished my first knife!!! From a knife blank I designed and paid a company to laser cut out. After this set of blanks is finished I'll be making them from the forge.

I did some forging with my friend, I bit off more than I could chew and tried to move a huge chunk of steel that I just couldn't move much with the heat I was getting it to. Either way it was fun and I had a great time showing my friend some of the crafts I do. I would say to anyone reading this that if you like doing a certain craft regardless of the "degree" in which you do it (hobby, professional) you should share it. Sharing your passions brings more joy to your passion and might ignite someone elses.

I'm excited to test out the grease stick that combat abrasives makes. I also picked up an eraser to clean the belt that was at a good price.

Just like most things you have to make sure you have more than one source of consumables and to use quality ones at that. Some suppliers will have shortages and you don't want to cut short your own production if that happens.

.label.abrasives I'm glad I found a reliable place to get the quality belts I need for my belt grinder it's important as a business to have a consistent and reliable source for your consumables. Also to have more than one supplier of any given consumable.
