HB Engineering Inc. is seeking Construction Inspectors (TA, TCI, TCIS, TCM)!

Details listed below-

Requirements:
High school diploma, GED, or post-secondary education
Read, write, and understand plans and direction given in the English. Ability to do basic math computations (length, area, and volume)
Maintain a valid driver's license with a favorable motor vehicle report (MVR) for final consideration
Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word and Excel documents, Outlook emails and SharePoint/Microsoft Word Teams)
Able to stand for approximately 3 hours minimum a day up to 8 hours
Able to traverse a construction job site consisting of uneven ground varying in height and consistency of material (mud, gravel, rutted ground, etc.)
Able to climb and leave a ladder to a platform varying from 6' to 20'
Able to wear and operate personal fall arresting apparatus, and work at a height 6' or higher
Able to wear HBE required PPE, i.e., hard hats, safety vest, work boots, safety glasses/goggles, and/or masks

Certifications that are desirable but not required:
BS Civil Engineering
NICET Level 2 or higher in Transportation/Highway Construction
NECEPT Bituminous field certification
ACI/PennDOT Concrete field technician certification
Troxler
NACE Coating
OSHA , OSHA 10-Hour
PennDOT/PTC CDS
ECMS experience

Responsibilities may include:
Perform transportation and construction inspections
Night work
Research PennDOT plans & publications prior to conducting inspections
Write daily reports, Document contractor's billable work progress, documentation of materials, labor compliance, safety, processing estimates, work orders, and adjustments
Ensure materials are procured from approved suppliers
Complete documentation of materials, labor compliance, safety, processing estimates, work orders, and adjustments
