Nice trucks, Shaler! And always great reminders when snow is in the weather forecast!

It appears that winter is here to stay, and with another big round of snow headed our way, please remember the following:

❄️Main roads and bus routes are cleared first
❄️When plowing is necessary it can take up to 8 hours for a driver's route to be completed
❄️Where possible, please refrain from on-street parking to allow the trucks room to pass. If this is not possible, please try to leave adequate clearance for the trucks.
❄️Plowing snow into driveways or sidewalks cannot be avoided.
❄️PLEASE do NOT plow, shovel, or blow snow from driveways and sidewalks into the public streets. This hampers snow removal efforts and creates dangerous road conditions
❄️ Shaler Township is responsible for the snow removal of all roads in Shaler Township with the EXCEPTION of: Babcock Blvd, Route 8, Sharps Hill Road and Saxonburg Blvd
❄️We are not able to tell you when a specific road will be cleared. Rest assured - if it is snowing, we are out!
