Stewart Filmscreen We manufacture industry-leading projection displays for Professional, Aerospace and Consumer markets. Under the name, Roy C.

At 55 years of age, Roy Stewart had an opportunity that fit in with his vision of making large front and rear projection screens. With the help of his two sons, Marshall, 23, and Clifford, 20, the purchase was made and a small pilot operation was opened at a former WWII munitions facility in Torrance. Stewart & Sons, the business produced one lace and grommet screen a week for the movie industry. For more than 65 years now, Stewart has been the consistent choice of discerning clientele around the world. We are unique amongst projection screen manufacturers in that we formulate and manufacture, from scratch, our own vinyl projection screen material. Through years of research and development, Stewart has engineered the most uniform, color correct, reference quality screen materials on the market, and we can manufacture these materials in the largest seamless sizes of any screen manufacturer. Because we produce our own material, we can make custom formulations to fit the unique needs of a specific installation. For instance, we can deepen black levels to improve contrast, or manipulate gain to find the optimal tradeoffs between brightness and viewing angles, all the while upholding a high standard for image fidelity. There is a perfect screen for every application, and nobody knows this like Stewart. Visit www.stewartfilmscreen.com to find out more. Whether your application can be satisfied by one of our typical, time-tested, award winning materials or whether you require a custom formulation, Stewart will work with you to ensure that your content is delivered to your audience EXACTLY as intended.

From basic spec room to true private cinema. 🎬

Crescendo Designs transformed this Hamptons theater with thoughtful upgrades to the equipment, acoustics, and design. At it's center a cinematic 2.40:1 Stewart Filmscreen is paired with a Sony Electronics laser projector to create a picture worthy of the experience.

A Lyngdorf Audio MP-40 processor with RoomPerfect calibration, Wisdom Audio Sage Series speakers, JLAudio Garmin Audio subwoofers and immersive Dolby Atmos sound complete a system designed for clarity, balance and impact—at every seat and every volume.

Beautiful work, Crescendo Designs. A true showstopper.

When the picture is the work, the screen cannot be an afterthought. 🎬

Built on a tight schedule by the crew at Elite AV Solutions, Inc in the 818! - This movie studio screening and editing suite pairs a JVC U.S.A. RS3200 projector with a .Filmscreen StudioTek Reference screen surface—creating an image professionals can evaluate with confidence.

In a fully light-controlled environment, StudioTek provides the color accuracy, uniformity, and fine detail needed to judge every frame, not simply watch it.

Great content deserves sound that brings it to life—and an image worthy of the experience.

At the Leonard Nimoy Event Horizon Theater inside Los Angeles’ iconic Griffith Observatory, Solotech upgraded the AV system to support film screenings, live talks and public programs.

The theater’s visual centerpiece is a 268-inch diagonal Stewart Filmscreen AT 3.0 with masking. Configured in a 2.00:1 aspect ratio, it features GrayHawk LS with MicroPerf X² THX Ultra—an acoustically transparent screen surface that allows the image and audio systems to work together as intended.

Congratulations to Solotech and everyone involved in this impressive project.

They call it the Small Electric Screen department—but “small” is clearly a relative term around here.

Kevin is performing one of our quality-control procedures on a 165-inch diagonal Cascade G2. With the screen fully deployed, he can carefully inspect the details that contribute to its appearance and performance.

Every screen we build goes through a series of hands-on checks before it leaves our facility. It takes extra time and attention, but it is how we ensure each screen is ready to perform when it reaches the jobsite.

Big screen. Small details. No shortcuts.

Some projects remind us that what we build can mean far more than the equipment in the room.

Stewart Filmscreen was deeply honored to help W. Harley Miller Systems
create a home theater for Micah through Make-A-Wish. This special space came together because so many people generously contributed their time, expertise and products to help make Micah’s wish a reality. 💙

Our heartfelt thanks to W. Harley Miller Systems for leading the project, including Todd Clarke, who completed the construction, and Jack Greene and Nate Dailey, who handled the wiring and installation.

We are also grateful to everyone who contributed:

Special thanks to Julia Mumma and Harper Morrison at Make-A-Wish for giving this team such a meaningful opportunity, and to Diandra Lazor for arranging a poster signed especially for Micah by Jamie Kennedy, Matthew Lillard, S***t Ulrich and Lee Waddell.

A screen is built to bring stories to life. We are grateful that this one will become part of Micah’s story.
