Check out the process of rebodying a ‘69 911T to the 993 EVO2 documented by forum member Ted. His car originally had one-off prototype bumpers and running boards, but the cost of replicating them forever with molds was too pricey. He decided instead to rebody with car with bodywork similar to the 993 EVO2 by John Simone, which should have better aero, less drag, and ~200lbs of weight savings.

Turning a roller into a running and driving car is no easy feat. This is exactly what forum member almostordinary did with this ‘87 911 he picked up from a fellow community member. He’s been working on his dream build and enjoying the drive while doing it. The car sports a ‘88 3.2L motor mated to a G50.01 transmission. It’s been on a bucket list drive to Canada along with endless cruises and drives. Most recently, he picked up a ducktail with an early decklid which was painted BMW Carbon Black. He’s now looking to change the color of his car, a silver or greyish matte/satin or even green. Any color recommendations?

GBODY_ in our forums. It sports 930 Turbo steel flares, 964 Turbo side skirts, a 964 whale tail, and double stepped 17” BBS RS wheels. Do you like Minerva Blue or Atlantis Blue better?

Is it a coincidence that I stumbled upon this car on our forums while the internet is currently abuzz about the Ferrari Luce? The front end gives off a bit of Enzo and ZXX vibes. This 944 definitely has more character, that’s for sure.
