LAWN MOWERS: It's that time of year to get the mower out and make sure it starts, runs and cuts. BEFORE YOU START THE ENGINE MAKE SURE IT HAS THE RIGHT AMOUNT OF OIL IN IT, NOT TOO HIGH, NOT TOO LOW. Every year I get 2 or 3 mowers that come in with destroyed motors because either they were run without oil in them or they were run with a mouse nest on the motor and overheated and blew up. Which brings me to my second point- check around the engine cover for what could be a mouse nest, which may be a bit of grass sticking out from under it or any of any other substance. It is not unusual to have a few blades of grass sticking out but if you have more than that or if you have any foreign substance sticking out it is time to determine if it is a mouse nest. If it is it needs to be removed ASAP. If you need any service on your mower, or any other power equipment including portable generators, call your local expert, Roy of Roy's Power Equipment Service at 339-788-1418. And we do pickups and returns of your equipment if you can't get it to us. [https://www.facebook.com/RoysPowerEquipment]

I am looking for a (approximately) 24-26 foot boat with a trailer for saltwater. Something that is in good shape and doesn't need work. Call Roy at 339-788-1418.

Snowblower tips- if you have gone out with your snowblower and cleaned your driveway and want to make another run with it to clean up and your auger won't turn, maybe squealing and/or smoking you more than likely have ice in your auger. When you stop using it and leave snow in your auger housing that snow may melt due to heat in the housing from friction. The snow will melt then when it gets cold it turns to ice, freezin the auger in place. If this happens don't keep trying the auger, you will just ruin the belt. Get the machine out of the cold and melt the ice with a space heater, hair dryer, or something that is SAFE. Once you see that the auger is free of ice and snow try the auger again. If you have melted the ice and snow and your auger won't spin call me, Roy, of Roy's Power Equipment Service at 339-788-1418. I can take care of all of your snowblower, generator and other power equipment service needs. Also, NEVER PUT YOUR HANDS OR ANY OTHER BODY PARTS INTO THE CHUTE OR AUGER/IMPELLER TO CLEAR SNOW OUT OF IT.

I have some Google nest cameras which are connected to and recorded on a Google account. I would like to add some non-Google cameras but don't know if I can add non-Google cameras to my Google account or if there is a way to use some type of hard drive with Wi-Fi connectivity for both my Google cameras and non-Google cameras. Does anyone know what the hell I am talking about and can you advise me?😳

OIL- Over the last week I have seen 4 mowers that had almost no oil in the motors. 3 of the motors were ruined. A new motor will cost several hundred dollars. Check your oil level EVERY TIME you use it, regardless of how old or new it is. I do not want to tell you your motor is junk because you didn't check the oil. BEFORE you start your motor pull out the dipstick and make sure it is up to the full line (mowers use 10W-30, snowblowers use 5W-30). This also goes for your snowblower or any other equipment that uses a 4 cycle motor (that is a motor where you add the oil separately from the gas). If you have any questions or need any service and/or tune ups on any of your power equipment including snow blowers, generators, etc, call me, Roy of Roy's Power Equipment Service at 339-788-1418.
