Kept finding rust pits under the factory paint. What started out as a respray; ended up being a restoration.

No more rust and exposed metal. Everything is now in Epoxy or DTM primers.

Restoring this Old Kent (Bridgeport Mill). I replaced every bearing and rebuilt the motor. One more little project before it can go back together. The R8 spindle has 3 spacers. The longest one was in rough shape. I am making a new one on the lathe. Once I find the time. Really need another person who is equal to or better than myself in skillset.

I run a restoration / custom fabrication shop and I’m at the point where I’d rather partner with the right person than keep cycling through “employees” who can’t produce at a high level.
I’m looking for someone serious about this trade and serious about building something long-term.
We do: Machining, Custom Painting, Fabrication, Upholstery, Electronics, Mechanical, Woodshop, Fiberglass Molds, Welding, Make our own tools, CAD & 3D Printing.
You should:
• Have solid, real-world experience in bodywork and paint (fabrication skills are a huge plus)
• Be able to work independently without constant oversight
• Care about quality, details, and doing things the right way
• Be reliable — show up, follow through, and take ownership of your work
• Be thinking about your future beyond just hourly pay
What I offer:
• Established 4000 sq. ft. shop in the Baltimore area with steady workflow
• Full setup — tools, equipment, space to produce

Looking for full-time BODY TECH (temporary to start — potential for long-term position).
We are a custom automotive & restoration shop located in Hanover, MD. This is NOT a typical collision center or production body shop — we focus on one-off builds, problem-solving, and high-quality craftsmanship.
Our work includes:
• Custom builds & restorations
• Fabrication & metal work
• Paint & body (not insurance work)
• Upholstery & interior work
• Mechanical, electrical, and prototyping
Shop is 4,000+ sq ft and fully equipped with lifts, fabrication tools, machining equipment, and a paint booth.
We’re looking for someone who:
• Has hands-on experience (body/paint prep, fabrication, or general shop work)
• Shows up, works hard, and pays attention to detail
• Wants to learn and grow in a custom environment
• Is comfortable working on a wide range of projects (no repetitive work here)
This is a full-time position. Starts as temporary, but can turn into something long-term for the right person.

Added another two machines to our Fabrication shop. I purchased a 1970 Takisawa TSL-800 Lathe and a 1979 Bridgeport Knee Mill. Both machines were in poor condition at first. Luckily I am bringing them back to life.
The lathe is now finished after 3 months of sporadic restoration.

This 2017 Mercedes Benz S550 came in today for dash repair. The glue used to hold the dash cover to the pad has lost its adhesion. Surprisingly, it didn’t separate off one side or the other. Makes me think a supplier issue with their adhesives.

I know this is quite common in Mercedes. My client reported the dealer would replace the dash “only”. With a part price of $3000.00 and Labor somewhere around $1500.

We are repairing our client’s for $1100.

Took all day to remove the parts. I think next time will go much quicker.

Side note: ChatGPT said the “upper dash” can be removed with out disassembling everything else……NOT TRUE!!
Be Aware it is misinformed quite often.

Fender project; took the custom made tandem fenders to the next level. Added a body line and then frenched them into the bedsides. Creating a wide body style bed. ,
