Seabee Cylinders is looking for 2nd shift Lathe Operators

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Studies blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample part to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work-piece, sequence of operations, and setup requirements.

Measures, marks, and scribes dimensions and reference points on material or work-piece as guides for subsequent machining.

Selects, aligns, and secures holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines such as mills, lathes, jig borers, grinders, and shapers.

Calculates and sets controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, and depth and angle of cut, or enters commands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized machine control media.

Starts and observes machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, and adjusts machine controls or control media as required.

Verifies conformance of finished work-piece to specifications and provides documentation thereof.

Sets up and operates machine on trial run to verify accuracy of machine settings or programmed control data.

Stamps parts produced and maintains documented trace ability to material heat and serial numbers.

Operates electric hoist to assist in loading or moving materials and products.

POSITION SUMMARY
Cleans, prepares the surface of and applies coats of primer and/or paint to protect exterior surfaces of hydraulic cylinders by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
 Reads prints and work orders or receives instructions from supervisor regarding painting.
 Cleans surfaces and removes old paint if necessary from surfaces to prepare surfaces for painting.
 Stirs or shakes coating liquid and thinner to mix solution to specified consistency.
 Pours solution into airbrush container, couples airbrush to air hose, and starts compressor or opens valve on compressed air line.
 Turns adjusting sleeve on nozzle of airbrush to regulate spray pattern to size of workpiece or area to be sprayed.
 Presses button on airbrush to spray coating over workpiece.
 Cleans airbrush nozzle and hose with solvent.
 Operates electric hoist to assist in loading or moving materials and products.
 Operates sandblast unit to prep cylinders for paint.
 Performs all work in a safety conscious manner. Be aware of dangers and take all appropriate counter measures to protect yourself and others around you.
 Responsible to maintain a clean and safe work area consistent with the Company’s housekeeping policies and OSHA requirements.

We are now hiring a Pattern Maker at our foundry to perform the following responsibilities.
Prepare and remove tooling for the mold line on a daily basis.
Inspect the tooling for any damage or wear.
Maintain a tooling inventory,
Operate and maintain mill, lathe, circular saw, band saw, and drills.
Operate and maintain sanders, various hand tools, and forklift as needed.
Operate electric hoist to assist in loading or moving materials and products.

Seabee Cylinders is looking for a 2nd shift Welder

Duties and Responsibilities include:

 Ability to weld using GMAW (mig), SMAW (stick), & SAW (sub-arc)
 Tig welding may be required
 Ability to weld components per blueprint specifications
 Obtains specified electrode and inserts electrode into portable holder or threads consumable electrode wire through portable welding gun.
 Strikes (forms) arc which generates heat to melt and deposit metal from electrode to workpiece and join edges of workpiece.
 Manually guides electrode or gun along weld line, maintaining length of arc and speed of movement to form specified depth of fusion and bead, as judged from color of metal, sound of weld, and size of molten puddle.
 Welds in flat, horizontal, vertical, or overhead positions.
 Examines weld for bead size and other specifications.
 Applies filler rod manually to supply weld metal.
 Cleans or degreases weld joint or workpiece.
 Repairs broken or cracked parts and fills holes.
 Prepares broken parts for welding by grooving or scarfing surfaces.
 Chips off excess weld, slag, and spatter.
 Preheats workpiece with hand torch or heating furnace.
 Positions and clamps workpieces together or assembles them in jig or fixture.
 Tacks assemblies together.
 Ability to operate cutting torch and carbon arc.
 Change welding wire and/or welding gases as required.
 Perform general maintenance on welding units.

Weld test to be performed prior to hire.

Assembler/Tester 2nd shift

Duties and Responsibilities:

 Assembles hydraulic cylinders to blueprint specifications.
 Following specific instructions for the cleaning, inspecting, and testing of parts and/or cylinders.
 Being mechanically inclined or have the ability to use various hand tools.
 Responsible for quality of finished product.
 Responsible for inspection of equipment to ensure proper cleaning of equipment is maintained.
 Responsible for preventative maintenance of all equipment in the assembly line.
 Ability to read precision measuring equipment.
 Ability to repeatedly lift, push or pull the MAXIMUM weight (50 #’s) on a routine basis.
 Operates electric hoist or forklift to assist in loading or moving materials and products.
 Assists with training of new employees or transferred employees assigned to the assembly line.

Seabee is looking for a production control clerk who can accurately maintain data entry and control all inventory transactions in our cylinder business. This role will coordinate activities at all levels internally and externally, as well as review reports to determine work order requirements, release work orders, and ensure “on-time” delivery schedules. It would be helpful to understand basic manufacturing principle, have experience with an erp/mrp system or application.
