Today we celebrated our June birthdays and work anniversaries with one of our favorite traditions—taking a moment to come together as a team.

As we sat around the table, we reflected on how fortunate we are to work for a company where people know your name, celebrate your milestones, and genuinely care about one another. In a world where it’s easy to feel like just another number, we’re grateful to be part of a team that values relationships, recognizes contributions, and makes time to celebrate the people who make Riggins what it is.

This week we celebrated our people.

With our team photo and story featured in both Forbes and Entrepreneur magazine, we wanted to take time to celebrate the people who made it all possible. We gathered together for an incredible catered lunch from County Grill and appreciated just how much this team has accomplished together.

One of the most meaningful moments was surprising our owner, John Munford, with a framed copy of the magazine feature to honor the legacy he has built and the culture he created at Riggins. A culture where people care about each other, work hard, and show up every day to get the job done.

We also heard heartfelt words from one of our beloved welders, Ray Vann, who spoke about how much he appreciates the culture at Riggins and the way our team supports one another.

Being featured in Forbes and Entrepreneur is exciting, but what made this event special was celebrating the people behind the story.

Riggins Company had a great time at the Virginia Talent Pipeline Lunch & Learn today! It was great collaborating with others in the industry, sharing ideas, and continuing to build strong relationships that support workforce development across manufacturing and maritime industries.
