This is a custom bridge built for a dock in Morristown! A good friend (and great carpenter) was making some additions to this dock and got ahold of me to help out with the steel work side of this, we used 6x6x3/16 galvanized square tubing which is bolted through the dock sections on each end using angle iron clips. The carpenter took care of the decking, and the customer was happy!

This was an interesting job! An all aluminum picnic table frame. Copied the existing steel frame ( which had started to rust through in 3 years, it was only .040 thick! ). The entire frame is 1 1/2”x1/8 aluminum square tube. It’s safe to say it won’t be rotting away any time soon!

Today officially marks one year since going out on my own and working for myself full time. It was a big jump to leave a stable, well paying job for the relative “unknown” of working for myself. The experience I have gained in the last year and the opportunities that have opened up to me is amazing. I am so thankful to the members of our community that have allowed me to do work for them. And I can’t wait to keep providing the same level of service for years to come.

And thank you to my former employer for refusing my request to leave night shift. That was the last push I needed to make the jump. And It wouldn’t have happened without you!
