Since the original construction, the roof has been protected by LightGUARD® PMR—delivering decades of proven performance. As building codes continue to demand higher R-values and more efficient building envelopes, incorporating continuous insulation (CI) is no longer just an option, it’s a necessity for compliance and long-term performance. ProGUARD® Concrete Insulated Sheathing combines rigid insulation laminated to Util-A-Crete® Concrete Backerboard, helping to create continuous insulation (CI) that reduces thermal bridging through studs and framing. It’s a composite panel designed to act as both continuous insulation (CI) and a durable substrate for several exterior finishes that can be directly applied to the concrete backerboard surface.
