Watch our press brake operator run a 6-bend part in 14 gauge mild steel — with bends up to 70" long — all from a single setup without moving a single tool.
The two short bends on each end (~3") could have been a nightmare. A different setup, a different station, a different operator. But that's not how we do things at Full Curl Manufacturing.

Large powder coating projects are a different animal.

When assemblies start approaching 25 feet long, 6 feet wide, 6 feet tall, and several thousand pounds, coating becomes far more than simply “spraying powder.” Material handling, rack design, grounding, coating consistency, cure management, and finish protection all become critical parts of the process.

This massive staircase assembly came through Full Curl Manufacturing for a complete powder coating finish in a hammered black topcoat over a zinc-rich primer system. The zinc-rich primer provides additional corrosion resistance while the hammered black finish delivers a durable, professional appearance that hides handling marks and surface inconsistencies exceptionally well on large structural assemblies.

Projects of this scale are challenging for many powder coat operations simply because of size and logistics. Moving, hanging, coating, and curing oversized fabricated assemblies without damaging the finish requires the right equipment, workflow, and experience.

Introducing our new Heavy-Duty Beam Hanging Brackets — designed and fabricated in-house right here in Montana from 1/4" steel and professionally powder coated for long-term durability and clean appearance.

These brackets are perfect for:

🔥 New showroom upgrade at Full Curl Manufacturing 🔥

We’ve been putting some serious effort into improving the customer experience when it comes to powder coating, fabrication, and product visualization — and this is a project we’re pretty excited about.

These custom display shelves were completely designed, engineered, and manufactured in-house at FCM using:
• SolidWorks CAD design
• Precision fiber laser cutting
• CNC press brake forming
• In-house powder coating
• Rotary galvo laser engraving

The shelves themselves are built from 0.080” 5052 aluminum and feature an interlocking dovetail corner design that locks together cleanly with minimal visible hardware. The goal was to create something functional, modern, and a direct showcase of the precision we can achieve with laser cutting and forming.

After fabrication, the shelves were powder coated and laser engraved with the FCM logo for a clean professional finish.

But the bigger goal here is improving how customers choose powder coat colors.

One of the most common things we hear is:
“I just want my parts black.”

The reality is… there are A LOT of blacks. 😅

Texture black. Matte black. Satin black. Smooth black. Wrinkle black. Low gloss black. Fine texture black. High gloss black. The list keeps going.

To make that process easier, we’re building a growing physical sample system using powder coated bottles. Every time we spray a new color, we’ll add another labeled sample to the wall.

Each bottle is:
✔ Powder coated with the actual production powder
✔ Laser engraved on our rotary galvo laser
✔ Marked with manufacturer/product information
✔ Equipped with a QR code linking directly to the powder manufacturer’s page

This gives customers a real-world sample they can physically hold and compare under actual lighting conditions instead of guessing from a screen.

We’ll continue expanding the display as new colors come through the shop.
