I started working on some more muffler designs. The colored photo is an optimal design Tesla Valve muffler. It would be impractical to manufacture because it would have to be 3d printed out of metal. The other photo with the "rusty metal" overlay is the same concept but a more practical and buildable design. I plan on building a few of the practical design pipe and testing them. I call this design a Tesla Tube. These work off of pulse pressure to keep the air flowing in the same direction. This design is a direct flow through muffler without restrictions but because of the scalloped veins air has a very difficult time flowing backwards. This should give solid tone but eliminate that loud pop you get with straight pipes.
