IGM Commercial Fire and Electrical Systems set up the work station near Section 654 and continued pulling communication signal wire through designated manholes, successfully landing wire near the SSC. The team began the process of routing communication wire through the system in preparation for final connections.

Work is progressing in coordination with field requirements, with remaining scope to be completed once project print alignment is confirmed. The team remains focused on safe, accurate, and efficient ex*****on moving forward.

IGM Commercial Fire and Electrical Systems conducted a site assessment above the ceiling to determine the best pathway for routing wiring from the electrical room to the roof.

IGM Commercial Fire and Electrical Systems prepared and installed smoke and heat detectors for the elevator shaft and pit. All devices in the elevator pit and shaft were installed, with elevator pit detectors correctly addressed. Elevator shaft heat and smoke detectors remain pending address configuration.

Smoke detectors were also installed at G1, G2, G3, and the 1st and 2nd floor elevator lobbies with proper addressing. Installation for floors 3–8 was not completed due to device availability and will resume once materials are restocked.

IGM Commercial Fire and Electrical Systems continued wire routing operations by pulling cable from the manhole to the box and into the SCE, then extending the run to the next pull point to support system continuity.

Project Update | Purple Line: College Park

IGM Commercial Fire and Electrical Systems progressed with PCC unit installation by mounting support brackets using 3/8” bolts, compressor washers, 3/8” washers, and spring nuts. The team assisted in properly positioning PCC units to ensure correct alignment for communication and power connections.

Materials were also picked up from the supply shop to support continued work, and UPS systems were installed into the PCC units as part of the ongoing system setup.

Work is moving forward with safe, accurate, and coordinated field ex*****on.

Project Update | MTA WCE Low Voltage Device Pathway Installation

IGM Commercial Fire and Electrical Systems progressed with low-voltage pathway work across multiple sections. The team entered the manhole and fed wire across the tracks into the shed, then set up a workstation near Section 604. Communication signal wire was pulled through the provided manhole and terminated in the communication center housing unit.

At Section 654, the team inspected the area and set up the manhole pull station. Additional 10-gauge wire was retrieved from the parking lot, and wire pulling operations continued through the installed manholes.

IGM Commercial Fire and Electrical Systems completed a safety briefing and proceeded with installation work at Section 604. The team set up near the SSC, pulled communication signal wire, installed camera brackets using a bucket truck, and completed a 1” power access hole for the camera installation.
