Sometimes the right person walks through the door before the right job exists.
After being laid off from his welding job, Jorge De La Cruz walked into TUXCO carrying a stack of photographs showcasing the ornamental welding work he had done.
There was just one problem: we didn't have a welding position open.
We told Jorge we'd keep his information. Then, after taking another look at his work, we realized waiting didn't make much sense.
We called him back that same day.
Jorge started as a painter before we created a welding position for him. Today, he's TUXCO's lead welder.
Talent has a way of making room for itself. We're sure glad Jorge walked through our door.

You could say Ray Cervantes knows his way around the TUXCO shop. After all, he’s been helping build our equipment for 24 years.

Ray joined TUXCO in 2002 and worked across cutting, grinding, milling, drilling, welding and fabrication before becoming Production Manager in 2007. Today, he oversees our entire production team and the quality that goes into everything we build.

Congratulations on 24 years with TUXCO, Ray! We’re lucky to have you on the team.
