The hum of distant machines fills the air. Dust motes dance in the slanted light from grimy windows. Enter our hero, THE SEASONED MILLWRIGHT (40s, weathered face, fresh company coveralls, a glint of determination in his eyes). He’s just accepted this new gig—big raise, company truck, sweet perks, no more graveyard shifts. Toolbox in tow, he pushes open the creaky door.

THE SEASONED MILLWRIGHT
(muttering to himself, with a wry smile)
Well, ain’t this a fine how-do-you-do? Back in the saddle, pockets lined, and the boss swearin’ it’s paradise. Let’s see what kinda circus they got here.
His eyes widen at the sight: A wall of horror! Massive knocker wrenches hang like readied beasts, orange handles scarred from battles past (yesterday). Hammers loom large. Buckets overflow with forgotten nuts and bolts. It’s a dream… or nightmare.

THE SEASONED MILLWRIGHT
(whistling low)
Holy torque, Batman!
He steps closer, the camera panning over the wild array of tools. Tension builds—what’s his first move?

What happens next?

CHOICE A: The SEASONED MILLWRIGHT slumps over his toolbox and begins pushing it back out the door. He’s on his way to load up his box, call his wife, and let her know he made a grave mistake. CUT TO SCENE 42(LONG DRIVE HOME)

OR
