Now hiring Quality Inspector.

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized individual to join our team as a QC Inspector and Packager. As a QC Inspector and Packager, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our upholstered products and packaging them for shipment. This is a crucial role in our manufacturing process, as it directly impacts the satisfaction of our customers.
Responsibilities:

Perform thorough inspections of upholstered products at various stages of the manufacturing process to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.

Identify any defects or issues in the upholstery, stitching, foam, or other components, and report them to the production team for corrective action.

Follow established quality control procedures and guidelines to maintain consistent quality standards.

Ensure that all packaging materials, including boxes, labels, and protective materials, are properly used and applied.

Pack finished products efficiently and securely to prevent damage during transportation.

Verify accuracy of product labels, quantities, and other relevant information.

Maintain accurate records of inspections, defects, and packaging activities.

Collaborate with the production team to address any quality concerns or improvement opportunities.

Adhere to safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work environment.

• Assemble high end marine upholstery components
• Glue, Trim, and Staple upholstery products following a set of work instructions
• Perform initial quality inspection at Workstation
• Maintain high level of accuracy and Quality throughout build process

• 2 years experience upholstering furniture such as RV or marine industry parts
• Knowledge of manufacturing principles
• Able to read and use a tape measure efficiently
• Experience with tools such as screw gun, staple gun, hand grinder
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs when needed
• Able to work in a non climate-controlled environment when necessary
• Must be able to follow instructions from and work in a team environment
• Good hand-eye coordination
• Attention to detail
• Must be able to follow shop order calling out colors and patterns
• Prior experience in a fast paced work environment
• Keep work area organized and clean
• Must be able to follow safety protocol
• Communicate well with others

Job Duties:
• Will build marine seating structures
• Assembling parts with basic hand and power tools
• Shape foam with band saws and sanders
• Assemble complex shapes from plastic pieces that may sometimes need additional modification
• Follow Paper patterns and digital work instructions
• Glue foam to plastic boards and shape with sanders

Qualifications
• Experienced with building furniture, RV interiors, or preferably marine upholstery
• Basic Hand and power tool knowledge
• Capable of identifying correct patterns
• Ability to hand shape parts to a high level of accuracy
• Ability to read and follow work order requesting parts
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs when needed
• Able to work in a non climate-controlled environment when necessary
• Must be able to follow instructions from Supervisor/Lead and work in a team environment

Torpedo Design is looking for for a detail oriented Vinyl Cutting Machine Operator to join our growing upholstery team!

Must have previous experience operating CNC equipment.

Job Duties include:

• Safely operate and control all CNC Equipment according to production schedule, material designations, and
following a set of work instructions
• Perform initial quality inspection at Workstation
• Maintain high level of accuracy and Quality throughout cutting process
• 2 years experience operating CNC equipment.

• Experience with CNC Software operation
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs when needed
• Able to work in a non climate-controlled environment when necessary
• Must be able to follow instructions from and work in a team environment
• Good hand-eye coordination
• Attention to detail
• Must be able to follow shop order calling out colors and patterns
• Prior experience in a fast paced work environment
• Keep work area organized and clean
• Must be able to follow safety protocol
• Communicate well with others
• Perform Finished Good quality inspection and packaging during machine downtime
