Terra Tech Engineering is looking for an experienced Surveyor / Crew Chief to join our team.

This position will lead field survey operations across a variety of projects. Responsibilities include collecting accurate field data, coordinating with field and office teams, and ensuring work is completed efficiently and on schedule.

Construction is underway at Southern Gap to expand Site 4 for West River Conveyors’ new location, along with developing an additional 9‑acre area for future use. Work includes site preparation and expansion of a future roadway to improve access and support the growing facility.

Terra Tech is supporting the project through site planning and ongoing construction oversight, helping move it from early design into active development. It’s been good to see steady progress as the project continues to come together.

We look forward to seeing this expansion become a fully operational industrial space and are glad to be part of the process.

We’re proud to recognize Tanner Hartford as he transitions from intern to full‑time member of the Terra Tech team. Tanner graduated this past weekend from Bluefield State University, earning his Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering along with an Associate’s degree in Electrical Engineering.

Tanner started at Terra Tech in January 2023 and has steadily grown in his role since. It’s been great to see Tanner’s development over the past few years, and we’re excited to watch him continue to grow on his journey as a full-time Terra Tech engineer!

We’re excited to have our newly overhauled Joy 22HD core drilling rig officially out in the field. While this rig has been around a while, it’s undergone a substantial upgrade, including all new hoses, a rebuilt deck transmission, a rebuilt Bean water pump, and a full top‑to‑bottom review of all on‑deck components.

This marks the second drill rig in our fleet, expanding our core drilling capabilities and giving us even more flexibility in the field. With the Joy 22 now hard at work, our original Mobile B61XD will be next in line for a major update of its own.

It’s good to see this rig back in action as Terra Tech continues to support a wide range of core drilling needs in the field.
