There is a unique kind of peace found in the forge, working with steel and fire. 🍊⚒️
I’m proud to show off this custom Tennessee Vols display. I wanted this piece to feel "Rock Solid," keeping that Brute de Forge character while polishing the blade to a clean finish. I took some extra time to hand-etch those football details into the reclaimed railroad spike handles to really make them stand out.
I’m reminded of Psalm 18:2— "The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer." Everything I build starts with that foundation.

Fresh off the anvil: The Gambler’s Spike. 🎲
This piece is hand-forged from high-carbon railroad steel. As I work the hot steel, I’m reminded of how the Lord shapes us. I kept the "Brute de Forge" style on this one to show the raw, honest work of the hammer.

From Wrench to Karambit ⚒️✨
I’ll be honest—I didn't even know what a mushroom knife was until my cousin asked for one! But the steel found its way into this Karambit profile. This curved "claw" is an ancient design used for centuries from Africa to the East to harvest from the earth. 🍄
I took a Crescent wrench made for hard labor and put it through the fire to give it a new soul.
"Behold, I have created the smith that bloweth the coals in the fire..." — Isaiah 54:16
It’s a reminder that through the heat and the hammer, we can all be transformed into something new and purposeful. I left the USA Crestoloy marks to honor its history, but this blade belongs to the woods now. Custom forged for Shane!

A Special Project: The 13th Spike for my Grandson
Description:
I’ve been busy in the shop lately working on a piece for my grandson. I took a high-carbon railroad spike and forged it down, leaving the hammer marks on the flats for that raw look.
The best part is the custom hockey mask integrated into the spike head—a tribute to a classic. It’s a piece of history I’m proud to pass down. ⚒️
