Roughstock is hiring Maintenance Technicians for multiple locations....

Not only do we need technicians for the new Billings location, we are also looking for experienced technicians for the expanding Harlowton shop.

Role Descriptions
This is for full-time on-site roles for Maintenance Technicians located in Roughstock facilities in Billings and Harlowton, Montana. Maintenance Technicians will be responsible for performing repairs to vehicles and mining equipment in the shop and potentially at the mine sites as well. This work involves troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, parts replacement, cleaning, and light welding/fabrication.

Qualifications
Equipment Maintenance, Maintenance & Repair, and Industrial Maintenance skills
Troubleshooting and Preventive Maintenance skills
Experience in maintenance and repair of industrial equipment
Knowledge of MSHA safety regulations and their practical application in a mining environment
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Experience with preventive maintenance software is a plus
While this role is shop based, there is opportunity to travel to different mines to perform maintenance tasks as needed. Candidates that possess MSHA training and mine experience will be viewed favorably. Salary will be based on individual's qualifications & experience.

RMS Employee Spotlight: Blake Lundberg--Harlowton Shop Complex

This week we take a minute to honor another one of our key people. Blake is an integral part of our Light Vehicle Maintenance program, which is located at our Harlowton shop complex. Blake is a multi-faceted individual with deep roots in the mining and drilling community with a history of underground and surface drilling programs in the western United States.

His history with Rough Stock started with a surface drilling program in Central Montana in 2020, but he worked with other Rough Stock employees for several years prior to that at the Golden Sunlight Mine. His attention to detail and desire to do whatever task is in front of him correctly are two of the qualities that make him a great team member. He has also maintained his own fleet of equipment for his company Lundberg Excavation. He has a passion for all things mechanical.

Blake has been married to his wife Renee for 15 years and they have a home in Harlowton. They help care for about any stray cat or animal that may come to their door, including taking them to be spayed/neutered and keeping them fed. Blake is a collector of all things cool and mechanical from snow-cats, fire trucks, and even his own homemade 3-wheeled hemi-powered V-8 motorcycle. Pictured is Blake's "Hot-Rod", a 56 Ford truck that he chopped and equipped with a big block chevy drivetrain.

Aside from his talents as a mechanical guru, Blake is a genuinely good human being, and it has been a great pleasure having him on our Rough Stock team. He is a self-made man that has a positive approach to life that can be seen through his everyday attitude and affect he has on those he works with and we are proud to call him a Rough Stock team member.

RMS Employee Spotlight--Walt Frese, Greycliff Operations

Once a week RMS will spotlight one of the members of our team that helps ensure our client's success. This week we feature Walt Frese who works at our Drill Consumables warehouse in Greycliff as a warehouseman & delivery driver.

We have had the great pleasure of working with Walt for a little over a year now. Walt is a Marine, having served our country proudly during Vietnam. After his time in the service, Walt became a an OTR driver, a profession that he continued for 52 years, driving many millions of miles across the USA. He retired from that profession to join our Bit & Steel supply operation in Greycliff in 2022.

Walt has been happily married to Becky Frese for 31 years. While Becky is a lifetime resident of Greycliff, Walt comes from Lewisville, Minnesota. Ultimately relocating to Greycliff to be with Becky in 1992. Walt & Becky have two sons, three daughters, and six grandkids.
