Please help us choose the right board to make a coat rack?

Using these hooks and things

We've got so many little trinkets to use as hooks, maybe we'll make 2

Nothing goes to waste around here…

Every time we try to clean up the shop, we find another piece that's just too good to throw away.

You never know when you're gonna need it, right? 🪵

200 year old cabin beams make for perfect mantels

if they're wide enough, maybe even a nice bench at 5-6" thick and 8-12" deep

check out our shop where history comes to life!

Not all reclaimed mantels are created equal. 🪵

Age, wood species, size, condition, and the character left behind over the years can all play a part in what makes one piece more valuable than another.

Sometimes that old beat-up beam sitting in the corner has a lot more going for it than you’d think. 👀

Come by the shop and see what you can find!

Looking for reclaimed wood with no cracks, no marks, no age, and absolutely no imperfections?

We’ve got just the piece. 😂

Turns out, all that “imperfection” is kinda the whole point. Every mark, crack, and bit of character is what makes reclaimed wood worth having in the first place.

Do we have security? Even better. 🐶

She may accept payment in treats and belly rubs, but we take what we can get around here.

Come by the shop and you might get to meet our head of security yourself!

we acquired 5 wormy chestnut beams from a barn in TN

probably split 1 into 3 pieces for fireplace mantel

what would you do with some beautiful wormy chestnut?

09/29/2026

Same wood, two completely different looks. 👀

Leaving reclaimed wood unfinished keeps that raw, natural character, while the right finish can really bring out the color, grain, and details that have been hiding in there for years.

Which way are you going, finished or unfinished? 👇
