Congratulations to Enterprising Women of the Year award winner,
Lisa Goodbee, PE, Owner and President of Goodbee Associates.

Lisa is a Colorado State University civil engineering graduate who began her career nearly 30 years ago working in areas which included transportation, land development and environmental engineering for global consulting firms. Lisa co-founded Goodbee & Associates, Inc. (GA) more than 20 years ago and has been involved in nearly every major transportation project in the Denver and Front Range region. Started as a one-client, two-person operation in 1994 the company has found success in the field of Utility Coordination. Goodbee's work has contributed to the expansion or creation of Colorado's major arteries and RTD FasTracks corridors.

Lisa is also involved in several business and community organizations, including: Habitat for Humanity Metro Denver Board, Women's Foundation STEM Champion Program, and Small Business Majority Network Council. Lisa’s representation as a small business owner has brought her to many forums in the past few years, including meetings with the President and Vice President of the United States in DC and Hillary Clinton in Colorado. Through hard work and dedication, Lisa’s company has grown to become one of Colorado’s most successful woman-owned engineering firms. But perhaps it was President Obama who summed it up best when he told Lisa with a nod and a handshake, ‘We need more women engineers like you!’

If you ever wondered what a 120” RPMP Hobas pipe looks like, here’s the 33rd St. Outfall storm pipe exposed in the Source’s parking lot. RPMP is fiberglass-reinforced polymer mortar pipe. The next phase of the project will involve tunneling more of the same pipe under the tracks from behind the Source property towards the Coors Field parking lot. So that's what's in the pipeline, literally and figuratively!

Feb. 24 - In the spirit of Engineers Week, Lisa Goodbee, PE spoke to an audience of more than 100 Colorado School of Mines - Society of Women Engineers (SWE) members. The presentation focused on Women in Engineering, progress made and progress to come. The CSM student section of SWE is the largest professional organization on campus and the largest collegiate SWE section in the nation.

Goodbee & Associates, Inc. Welcomes Karl Schoenbrunn, Project Manager: Karl brings more than 10 years of utilities coordination and design-build experience to the team. He’s also brought his toys! Through the years Karl has added an array of wires, conduits, pipes and more to his ‘underground utilities discoveries’ collection and he proudly showed off the interesting items to the team at a recent staff meeting. Then he took his toys and went home! Welcome, Karl, and thanks for the show-and-tell segment!

Goodbee & Associates, Inc. Welcomes David Duke, Project Manager I: David is a 2013 Colorado School of Mines graduate with a BS degree in Civil and Mechanical Engineering. You might say David is a ‘slopes to ropes’ success story. That is, in his college days he spent a season in Alaska working the ski slopes where the average temperature was a balmy 30 degrees! But he’s settled in Colorado now and ready to learn the utility coordination ropes. Welcome, David!
