It’s been a different kind of week around Mesco.

Last Friday, we celebrated the retirement of longtime employee Rick Bevington after 26 amazing years with Mesco/Bryan. We gathered together to share a few words and reflect on what Rick has meant to us, not just as a coworker, but as a friend over the years. We honored him the right way, starting with his favorite lunch, Skyline Chili!

After work, some of us got together and did something he’s most looking forward to in retirement: golf. Even though a few of us clearly had no business being on the course, we showed up for Rick and lots of laughs!

To top off a perfect day, Brothers McGee played on the porch as we all relaxed and celebrated Rick together.

Thank you, Rick, for 26 years of dedication, hard work, and friendship. You’ll truly be missed around here! Enjoy every minute of your well-earned retirement!

Today, we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.

As a proud American manufacturing company, we are grateful for the freedoms that allow us to do what we do every day. Those freedoms were earned through courage, service, and sacrifice.

We kicked off the weekend on Friday with a cookout for our team, taking time to come together and appreciate the people who make our company strong.

This Memorial Day, we remember our heroes. We hope everyone had a safe and meaningful holiday weekend!

Mesco kicked off the holiday season in November with a bowling party for our employees and their families. The day was filled with friendly competition, pizza, and gift card giveaways but most importantly, it gave us the opportunity to spend quality time together outside of the workplace and celebrate the people who make Mesco what it is.

A big thank you to Parkside Lanes for hosting our group and helping make the event a success. We’re grateful for our team and wish everyone a happy and safe holiday season!

Today, we proudly celebrate and thank the brave men and women who have served our country. Your courage, commitment, and sacrifice protect the freedoms we all enjoy and the values we strive to uphold every day: hard work, integrity, and teamwork.

As a small token of appreciation, Bryan, our company president, treated our veterans to lunch today to thank them personally for their service and continued contributions here at Mesco.

We’re honored to work alongside such dedicated individuals.
Thank you for your service...today and always. ❤️🤍💙

Decatur County Pink Out Day 💗

Yesterday, Decatur County came together for a Countywide Pink Out Day to show support for The Hospital Foundation of Decatur County. So far in 2025, the Foundation has raised more than $34,000 to help provide life-saving breast cancer screenings for local women.

All funds go directly to the Pink Ribbon Fund, which covers the cost of mammograms for uninsured or underinsured patients at Decatur County Memorial Hospital.

At Mesco, we believe in supporting and making a difference in the community. Our team joined in by wearing pink (all shades of pink!) We’re also making a donation to the Pink Ribbon Fund to help continue this life-saving work in our community.

🔥🌶️ Quarterly Team Meeting + Annual Chili Cook-Off! 🌶️🔥

All three of our shifts came together last week for our quarterly team meeting and what better way to spice things up than with our annual Chili Cook-Off? We had 12 incredible entries, and the room was filled with amazing smells, full bellies, and lots of laughs!

The votes were tight, some might even say “rigged” (they were NOT!😉) but in the end, Jason Koors took home the top spot by just one vote! Second place ended in a tie between our reigning two-time champ Gary Owens and our very own President, Bryan Messer.

We also handed out raffle prizes, celebrated another successful quarter, and most importantly, spent time together as one team.

The Mesco Chili Cook-Off is more than just a fun event — it’s a tradition that holds a special place in our company’s heart. It was started by our longtime HR Manager, Rebecca “Becca” Deiwert, who worked at Mesco for 10 years and always found ways to bring people together. Becca passed away in March 2022, but her spirit of warmth, community, and good food lives on through this annual event.

Huge thanks to everyone who participated, cooked, and joined in the fun — we couldn’t do it without you! Let's finish out the year by having a great 4th quarter!
