Mesco kicked off the holiday season in November with a bowling party for our employees and their families. The day was filled with friendly competition, pizza, and gift card giveaways but most importantly, it gave us the opportunity to spend quality time together outside of the workplace and celebrate the people who make Mesco what it is.

A big thank you to Parkside Lanes for hosting our group and helping make the event a success. We’re grateful for our team and wish everyone a happy and safe holiday season!

As a small token of appreciation, Bryan, our company president, treated our veterans to lunch today to thank them personally for their service and continued contributions here at Mesco.

Decatur County Pink Out Day 💗

Yesterday, Decatur County came together for a Countywide Pink Out Day to show support for The Hospital Foundation of Decatur County. So far in 2025, the Foundation has raised more than $34,000 to help provide life-saving breast cancer screenings for local women.

All funds go directly to the Pink Ribbon Fund, which covers the cost of mammograms for uninsured or underinsured patients at Decatur County Memorial Hospital.

At Mesco, we believe in supporting and making a difference in the community. Our team joined in by wearing pink (all shades of pink!) We’re also making a donation to the Pink Ribbon Fund to help continue this life-saving work in our community.

🔥🌶️ Quarterly Team Meeting + Annual Chili Cook-Off! 🌶️🔥

All three of our shifts came together last week for our quarterly team meeting and what better way to spice things up than with our annual Chili Cook-Off? We had 12 incredible entries, and the room was filled with amazing smells, full bellies, and lots of laughs!

The votes were tight, some might even say “rigged” (they were NOT!😉) but in the end, Jason Koors took home the top spot by just one vote! Second place ended in a tie between our reigning two-time champ Gary Owens and our very own President, Bryan Messer.

We also handed out raffle prizes, celebrated another successful quarter, and most importantly, spent time together as one team.

The Mesco Chili Cook-Off is more than just a fun event — it’s a tradition that holds a special place in our company’s heart. It was started by our longtime HR Manager, Rebecca “Becca” Deiwert, who worked at Mesco for 10 years and always found ways to bring people together. Becca passed away in March 2022, but her spirit of warmth, community, and good food lives on through this annual event.

Huge thanks to everyone who participated, cooked, and joined in the fun — we couldn’t do it without you! Let's finish out the year by having a great 4th quarter!

This past Saturday was absolutely beautiful — sunshine, laughter, and an incredible community coming together to honor Brian in the 5th Annual Brian Nobbe Memorial Co-Ed Softball Tournament. 💙 I hope he felt all the love out there.

Our work team may have looked like the "Mesco Misfits", but we sure had fun! Most of us haven’t played softball in over 20 years (if ever 😂), so it was definitely more about the laughs than the score. Still, it turned out to be such a great way for us to get to know each other outside of work and enjoy some friendly competition for a wonderful cause.

Huge thanks to everyone who made this event possible! What an amazing way to keep Brian’s memory alive. 🥎

What a perfect day for some fun at Kings Island!

Our team enjoyed a beautiful day filled with laughter, thrill rides, and plenty of great memories together.

We also had a Photo Challenge and wow, did our team deliver! We received so many awesome, creative pictures that really captured the spirit of the day.

We wrapped up our quarterly team meeting last Friday with company updates, scrap reports, sales highlights, and a look at what’s happening around the shop. We also took time to enjoy some great food and recognize a few team members who’ve gone above and beyond.
