The job site isn't always close to home.
Recently, GTI's mobile induction repair team traveled more than 2,000 miles to northern Quebec on the St. Lawrence Bay, bringing our patented induction repair technology directly to the customer.
This project involved a 10,000-gallon reactor, where our team successfully:
Removed four 400-pound Cryo-Lock hubs
Repositioned two hubs
Completed a permanent induction repair on one damaged hub
Prepared three hubs for reglassing before returning them to service
To complete the repair, our technicians established an onsite enameling area, fired the repaired hub at 1,450°F, and successfully reinstalled it following the induction repair process. Our service team will return to install one additional hub once the reglassing process is complete.
Projects like this demonstrate the value of GTI's patented induction repair technology—delivering permanent repair solutions in the field, minimizing downtime, extending equipment life, and helping customers avoid costly replacements.
No matter where the challenge is, GTI brings innovation into action.
