Environmental Project Manager Job Description

Pyramid is looking for an experienced environmental Project Manager. Our work is primarily soil and groundwater assessment and remediation, environmental due diligence including Phase I and Federal and State related requirements and guidance (i.e. HUD, USDA, etc.), Brownfields, industrial environmental compliance, and roadside spill remediation projects.

Required baseline experience and competence :

1. Proficiency with Microsoft apps and programs (Word, Excel, Outlook) as well as Adobe
2. Basic ASTM Phase I ESA proficiency : from project initiation, site inspection, to final report
3. Field experience with soil excavation, monitoring well drilling, sampling, & documentation
4. Organization, preparation, and completion for internal review of environmental reports for various soil and groundwater projects

Preferred experience and competence :

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· NC Regulatory experience with NCDEQ divisions
· Fieldwork and travel for project work

· Ability to manage multiple projects / proposals concurrently
· UST removals planning, soil sampling, & NCDEQ regulatory reporting

· USDA / NEPA experience for Govt. Environmental Reviews
· Spreadsheet proficiency for proposal writing & invoicing
· Health & Safety 40-hour OSHA training completed
· V***r Intrusion (VI) assessment and sampling experience
· Industrial Compliance evaluation and consulting
· SPCC & Stormwater planning and/or sampling experience
· PFAS general knowledge or sampling experience
· Current driver’s License and good driving record
· Client communications experience
· Surveying relative top-of-casing elevations for monitoring wells
· Low-flow sampling techniques and experience

This week we received NC Brownfields Program approval of the Soil-Gas Sampling Work Plan, and installed the Soil-Gas probe for sampling early next week. The site is not expected to have a v***r intrusion problem, but we are checking it out before a new building is constructed.

Seismic data collection cannot always happen during the day! Recently Pyramid performed seismic testing using the Multi-Channel Analysis of Surface Waves (MASW) method across active traffic lanes in South Carolina. A combination of temporary lane closures and night work made this survey possible.
