Born in 1890 in Hagerstown, Indiana, he lost his sight in an accident at age five. Undeterred, Teetor pursued mechanical engineering and graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 1912.

In 1945, he invented the "Speedostat," a mechanism to maintain steady speeds and save fuel, which we now know as Cruise Control. His journey is a testament to overcoming obstacles and driving automotive technology forward! 🌟

Only 56 original Spyders were ever made, making them incredibly rare and expensive. Given the film’s limited budget, a genuine $300,000 Ferrari was out of reach. So, the filmmakers built three replica cars, with one used for stunts and eventually destroyed in the famous scene where it crashes out of a window.
