Doing some "government" work today. I have a Rock Crawler that has been sitting unfinished for way too long. I need to move it to the new shop so I can have access to bring the last of my equipment to the new place. This project is going to be a chassis jig. It is 2 pieces of W12x26 I-beam separated with a couple of crossbar for rigidity. The wheels in the first picture are rated for 1650 pounds each and have ratcheting levelers built in. More pictures to come soon.

Muncie transmission with a broken ear. Tacked it in place, v-grooved one side and welded. Flipped to the other side v-grooved to the first weld then filled it in. Notice the bright color around the weld area, that's the finish left on a casting after cleaning with the v***r blaster and #13 glass beads. It looks as clean as it did when it was cast new. This process works on all metals to remove oxidation without material removal.

Before and After. Used a carbide burr to remove material for weld prep. Built up boss with filler rod. Drilled and tapped to 3/8-16. Removed broken stud and cleaned threads. Decked the sealing surface and did a proper counterbore for the thermostat.

Getting some electrical in. Also a Rohm chuck for the Hougen Mag Drill. Should have heat in a couple of weeks.
