I wanted to personally reach out and share an important update regarding New Jersey Fire Equipment and our firefighter PPE product offerings.
Beginning in September, NJFE will no longer be representing Fire-Dex products. We have entered into a new partnership with LION and are excited to now offer and support their complete line of firefighter PPE.
Our decision to partner with LION was made with tremendous confidence in the company, its products, and its proven history within the fire service. LION is the largest private manufacturer of firefighter PPE in the United States, providing turnout gear to 8 of the 10 largest fire departments in the country and 25 of the top 50.
This is gear that is battle tested and battle proven in some of the busiest and most demanding fire departments in America and trusted by firefighters around the world. LION is currently protecting major departments, including FDNY, Chicago, Philadelphia, Baltimore City, Atlanta, Phoenix, Jersey City, and Newark where its PPE is put to work under some of the most challenging conditions in the fire service.
If your department is interested in learning more about LION PPE, I would be happy to schedule a meeting, provide product information, or arrange a hands-on demonstration so your members can evaluate the gear firsthand.
As with any transition, you may hear from other vendors regarding these changes. In fact, you will most likely be contacted by a New Jersey Fire-Dex dealer who may have an alternative agenda and may present false information, allegations, or claims about NJFE, our decision, that we know are inaccurate or misleading in an effort to gain your business.
New Jersey Fire Equipment has been doing business in New Jersey since 1930. For nearly a century, our name and reputation have been built on the way we conduct ourselves and the way we treat the fire departments we serve. We have never believed—and never will believe—that attacking a competitor, circulating misinformation, or making false accusations is an acceptable way to earn someone’s business. Our name and reputation mean everything to us.
New Jersey Fire Equipment is a family-owned and family-operated company, and that family extends far beyond our last names. We proudly employ firefighters from departments throughout the State of New Jersey—both career and volunteer, people who understand the fire service because they live it themselves.
We take tremendous pride in the culture we have built. We have multiple generations working side by side within our company, and many of our employees have built long careers with NJFE. We consider the people who work here part of our family, and we believe the loyalty and longevity of our team speak volumes about who we are as a company.
