This one's flying schedule is finished. It's in the BAS turbine hangar now, moving from one complete airframe into individually identified inventory.

The 501 belongs to the generation that established Cessna's light-jet formula: a straight wing, aft-mounted JT15D turbofans, and turbine capability at airports the bigger jets skip. Plenty of that fleet is still working, and this one came in with depth across propulsion, avionics, gear, cabin equipment and environmental systems.

These engines are not preserved and will require inspection.

This one's right main landing gear collapsed during rollout.

Piper added the PA-24-250 in 1958 with a 250-horsepower Lycoming O-540, and the bigger engine found a willing market. With 2,537 built, it became the most numerous of the single-engine Comanches. For an airframe family out of production more than half a century, useful PA-24 components do not need much of an introduction.

Fuel exhaustion put this one on a gravel road, wheels up and off airport.

The Comanche has always occupied its own corner of the Piper world. That is exactly why an airframe like this one matters. Complications on approach ended this one's flying career.

The C**t was Piper's simplified two-seat trainer built on the Tri-Pacer platform, and it shares most of its structure and hardware with the rest of the PA-22 family. That is why airframes like this one matter. The short-wing Piper fleet stays in the air on parts pulled from each other, and this C**t still has some hardware left to give.

This one came to BAS after ice accumulation added weight and cost speed, which contributed to a hard landing.

The 340A was the cabin-class answer for owners who wanted pressurized capability without stepping up to a much larger platform, and that leaves an airplane full of systems still in demand. Turbocharged Continental support components, pressurization equipment, gear and specialized airframe hardware all come off this one, along with a strong avionics package and a particularly valuable windshield hot plate.

This Crusader left the paved surface during ground movement and came to rest in a ditch.

Only 297 T303 Crusaders were built before production ended, and that limited run matters now. A smaller original fleet means a smaller pool of Crusader-specific parts. This one came into the hangar with dual Garmin navigators, counter-rotating Continental power and Crusader gear equipment headed into recovery.
