This one came to BAS after a gear-up landing ended its time as a complete aircraft. Not the way you want to put a Baron away. The parts story is still strong.

This one came in by calculator, not incident. The cost of returning this pressurized twin to active service outweighed the value of the aircraft.

The Duke has always been a complex airframe with a small, loyal fleet. Only 596 were built, and the ones still flying depend on traceable components from airframes like this one. The systems, avionics, and powerplants that made this Duke a serious executive twin are what the remaining fleet still needs.
