Ending the week by helping a client through a shutdown.

One of the critical components was a failed shaft that we reverse engineered and machined two exact replacements for—one for immediate installation and another to keep on the shelf as a backup. We also machined four seal ring bearing spacers, with two going directly into service and two additional spares.

Not pictured are four nylon transport rolls and a shear exit funnel that we machined from steel and modified to the client's specifications.

When downtime is measured in dollars, having quality replacement parts and backup components ready can make all the difference.

Another batch headed out the door. These 4 steel press rolls were CNC machined from solid Ø7” hot rolled steel bar stock for two different local steel manufacturers. Two rolls feature 3/8” keyways, while the other two required both a 3/8” keyway and a 12mm keyway.

Modified Split Column Door Lock Arms

Another custom machine modification completed and ready for service.

These split column door lock arms were redesigned with an extended reach to provide additional clearance around the door lock cylinder. The goal was to make routine maintenance and cylinder replacement easier by moving the access point farther away from surrounding machine components, giving maintenance personnel more room to work safely and efficiently.

From reverse engineering and machining to final assembly, this project was focused on improving accessibility, reducing maintenance time, and minimizing downtime for the customer.

Customer brought in a spindle stud shaft from logging equipment with the threads completely wiped out. We built the damaged area back up with weld, turned it back to size, and single-point threaded it to match the original TAN 17-12 bearing lock nut.

A lot of measuring, test fitting, and sneaking up on dimensions to get the fit right on a repair like this. Saved the original component and got it ready to go back to work instead of replacing the entire shaft assembly.

Modified V-Trough assembly completed and headed back to the customer.

The original design used angled cylinders mounted between the base and trough with captured oval guide slots. The updated version was redesigned per customer request to use vertically mounted cylinders and open-top guide slots. The main goal of the modification was to allow the V-trough assembly to be removed from the base for maintenance and AR500 wear plate replacement without disassembling the entire unit.

To accommodate the new configuration, we machined and installed custom threaded rod/clevis assemblies with pivoting wear plates to allow the cylinders to follow the trough movement while reducing side loading on the rods.

Always appreciate customers bringing us unique rebuild and redesign projects like this one.

Linkage arm assemblies for a local steel manufacturer CNC machined from steel flat bar with CNC machined bronze fl**ge and sleeve bushings press fit for a precise and durable fit. Built in-house at Wilson Machine LLC.

Another batch of cast bronze components headed out the door.

Bushings, encoder rolls, and clamp rolls CNC machined for a local steel manufacturer. All rolls were bored for bearing press fits and internal retaining ring grooves machined in the ID.
