Dug into my parts and built another 044, has aftermarket bearings, seals and carburetor. The rest is all OEM, old legend of a saw that will get to live again!

Ported 600sx, MS 400c , and a muffler modded 044 all with 24” chains. For my entertainment!

Yesterday’s build, seems to be decent enough in the wood. Exhaust opens at 101, Intake closes at 72, Transfer open at 127, ATDC Squish is probably 35, didn’t measure it with caliper. No grinding or port work.

When your bored and rake up enough old parts to put a saw together. It’s always nice to hear it set and idle when first started up. Tomorrow I will see if it can drag a chain through something. Stihl MS 460
