Shop Supervisor Position:
CSI looking for a motivated, self-driven supervisor to lead a talented team in the fabrication and assembly of new fire apparatus.
Minimum Qualifications:
~Experience in employee supervision and leadership. ~Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
~Ability to coordinate, plan and implement production schedules. ~Blueprint reading skills and ability to work with documents (specifications).
~Experience in shipping, receiving and inventory management. ~Experience in shop safety.
~Comprehension of welding and fabrication practices and procedures.
~Computer experience, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
Priority given to these additional experiences or certifications: ~Experience in truck mechanical work.
~Understanding fire apparatus, water pumps, hydraulics, and both 12- and 120-volt electrical systems.
~ASE certification (heavy truck), EVT certification (Emergency Vehicle Technician),
~Class A or B CDL (Commercial Driver’s License).
Company offers benefit package including paid time off, sick time, holiday, 401(k), life insurance, health insurance, short term & long-term disability insurance.

This weekend the CSI Emergency Apparatus team along with Spartan Fire Chassis attended the Michigan Firemans Memorial where Bill Foster’s name was placed on the wall after passing away in January. Bill spent many years working at Delta Township Fire. Over Bill’s lifetime, he was one of the largest supporters of the Fireman’s Memorial site along with the festival where he was named the grand Marshall in 2023.
Thank you for the honor of representing Bill and accompanying Jim Foster, Bill’s son as we place a wreath at the site honoring Bill Foster
