We are all stunned & saddened by the loss of Kevin Coppersmith. He was an incredible young man and always lit up the room with his huge smile. For PCS, he was so much more than a talented pipe builder, incredible salesman (he could sell ice to Eskimos) or an enthusiastic bike/sled technician…. he was family.
We lost Kevin in a motorcycle accident on Tuesday evening September 15, 2015 at just 24 years old. He was an avid motorcycle enthusiast and loved riding bikes. Didn’t matter if it was a mini bike, a full dresser or a 50cc scooter…. he could wheelie them all. His enthusiasm for bikes made him an incredible tuner and he had an ear for all things two- and four-stroke.
For us each workday started with a story. Anyone who knows Kev, knows of his crazy stories. And if you didn’t know Kev, you wouldn’t believe them! He had an amazing zest for life and was such an important part of our everyday. He was an influential business partner and his innovative ideas kept us moving forward.
In the 11 years that we’ve know Kev, we were blessed with being able to watch him grow from a sweet little boy into a fine young man. A true gentleman…. polite & thoughtful at his core and always there for his friends, no matter what the time of day or what the task was. He would help anyone at any time and think nothing of his kindness. Modesty (of mind, not attire) was at the forefront for Kev, but he didn’t recognize it. If you tried to give him credit for his generosity, he would give that “awe shucks” look that he was famous for. His kindness was infectious as he helped us all become better people.
To say we were very proud of the man he had become is an understatement. He was the best kind of person – strong physically and mentally, yet kind and generous. And to confuse his kindness for weakness would prove to be a mistake.
The world has lost a great man. The upcoming days and weeks will be very foggy as we begin the daunting task of trying to get through life without him here to make us laugh. But remember that he loved life. He was a loyal friend and family member. He made his loyalty look so easy because he was truly honest with himself. He was Kev. He loved his friends and he loved his family.
To everyone who knew Kev, know that you are very blessed. He touched everyone’s lives and he will be very sorely missed.
