Following WWII, military men brought home an interest in these little foreign cars which eventually grew into a significant market of its own. Way back in the "dark ages" of the auto parts industry, the British firms of Austin, MG, Morris, Triumph & more were fundamental in creating a fledgling need for repair parts for their cars.
MG was a predominate part of this market with their MG-T series, eventually MGA & MGB along with the Midget line. Well, MG cars stopped exporting cars to USA and sort of faded from public view. Many years passed & eventually a Chinese firm bought the rights to the MG name & continued to manufacture cars we in the USA never see. An attractive new roadster coming soon to Europe is pictured here: - -
