Radio Design Group, Inc. Driven by curiosity, the RDGI philosophy of “Imagineering” pushes us to develop new ideas and designs for our ever-changing technological world.

Our mission is to solve and simplify complex communication problems with highly custom and innovative RF solutions so that we can empower our customers to do the impossible. At Radio Design Group, we believe that innovation should be available at all levels of wireless design, from big-budget consumer-driven products to the unconventional independent startup. Our process is dynamic, often coloring outside the standard lines of design and development. Our team of engineers, technicians, and support staff are encouraged to create solutions that are not yet discovered or utilized, inspired by the legacy of the innovators who have gone before us.

Sometimes prototypes get fairly complicated. MVSK (m-ary variable shift keying) provides a high speed, very jam-resistant, and very secure data path that works in the most adverse of conditions.

If you have a need for secure, jam-resistant communications, contact us to see if MVSK will work for your application.

When a 15-year-old hacker outsmarted our Ham radio security and then took down our phone line in retaliation, we learned lessons that shape our approach to wireless security to this day.

This blog post reveals why low probability of intercept, robust encryption, and end-to-end security matter more than ever in modern wireless communications. ⤵️

True story: A teen hacker breached our Ham autopatch, then hacked the phone company. Discover why secure wireless design requires LPI technology, encryption, and vulnerability protection.

Science fiction has always been a treasure trove of imaginative concepts that, over time, have evolved into real-world innovations. Here's some made-up inventions that became real — AND ones that could never work outside of fantasy.

Flying cars, voice command of computers, biometric recognition, beam weapons, self-driving cars, and artificial intelligence; there were futuristic predictions of all of these and more in the movies. But there was one thing that no one predicted, and for good reasons.

Cosmic forces that scramble earthling technology sound like science fiction, but electromagnetic pulse (EMP) disruption poses a very real threat to critical communications infrastructure here on Earth. Learn how to defend your tech on our blog ⤵️

Learn about the vital need for nationwide Electro-Magnetic Pulse (EMP) preparedness, the potential consequences of EMP disruption, from power grid failures to communication breakdowns, and proactive strategies to safeguard essential services and infrastructure. An EMP could devastate the US power g

After 9/11 exposed how many responding agencies couldn't talk to each other, American first response organizations invested heavily in common standards like P25 and FirstNet. But one group was never meant to join that network: the National Guard. Its radios are military equipment, secure and jam-resistant, and they are kept separate from civilian systems by design.

So when the Guard is called in during a disaster, how does it coordinate with local emergency operations? Learn more on our blog: https://bit.ly/46JFn2T

Einar is representing us at NEDME today!

NEDME is a nonprofit, run by the industry it serves. It started two decades ago as a grassroots tabletop gathering and is now the largest event of its kind in the Northwest, with proceeds going to the Oregon Food Bank.

We're proud to be a part of an industry that looks after its neighbors. Great to meet you, Jennifer Eby, MaRCTech2.

When disaster strikes and communication systems fail, what do you do? Amateur (Ham) Radio technology is often instrumental in declaring a state of emergency and connecting essential services during disasters or crises. Read more in our blog post.

Adversity exposes our infrastructure's vulnerability. In times of emergency, it is vital to maintain lines of communication, especially when infrastructure fails. Read about a time when Jim's Ham Radio knowledge helped to declare a state of emergency during extreme rains and flooding in Josephine Co
