Earlier this month, RCC proudly helped sponsor a community fishing event held at Redstone Arsenal in celebration of Alabama’s Free Fishing Day.
This special day allows residents and visitors to fish in public waters without the need for a state fishing license,
encouraging everyone to enjoy the outdoors and experience the joys of fishing.
The event was co-sponsored by MWR and featured a variety of activities and support for participants.
RCC team members handed out snacks, bait, and fishing supplies, and helped provide lunch for attendees. Even with a looming threat of storms later in the afternoon many attended the event.
Held annually by MWR, this event continues to promote family-friendly outdoor recreation and aims to introduce new generations to the sport of fishing. Redstone MWR
