Upgrading one of the Bear V8 builds form a few years ago (only 2 made).

This is one I built for our shop at the day job, and has become the most used and reliable CNC we have. Except for last Saturday when the Z axis finally had enough.

Designed a quick retro-fit set of parts and found some hardware in the Bor studio and viola.

The results are awesome and the Z is better than it was originally. Now to design up parts for the X and Y axies, lol.

3D printer build is on hold for a few days so I can get the laser finished setting up and resume it's work load.

Have a bunch of ornament blanks waiting in the wings (literally) for their turn in the burn. Only thing left is hook up the smoke extraction.

Here's a few pics of this weekends progress on the Ender 3 NG build. I managed to get the mechanical frame fully assembled (no belting yet). The first pic is all that's left of the donar machine, and the last pic is the leftover hardware is had ordered.

It's been a great build so far, I am super impressed with the design effort by the creator. His attention to detail and thinking through every tiny aspect is outstanding. The build plan/guide even has hints and tips to answer questions that come up during the project.

I'll try to plan out the next build and make a video. Check out the NH project at RH3D.xyz.

After several months of design and dev, I think I'm ready to print some parts for the Ender 5+ conversion to a Voron 2.4 style printer.

It's been challenging to re-work the designs to fit the Ender frame and use as much as possible of the original components and parts.

Will be printing the flying gantry parts today, and thought I would share a few renders.

Well it's all in place (kind of). That's enough for this weekend.
