For Cuban's birthday, I want to share 5 facts about the man that most people don't know. And since Mark doesn't look at my page, he will never know about this rare moment when I complimented him for being such an amazing human being. Here are 5 facts:
1. He gives his email out publicly and often invests in people he has never met in person.
2. I have seen people walk up to him with very unfortunate circumstances that might even be in the news. When they ask him for money, he says this would be good publicity for him, but he gives it to them on one condition. He says, "I'm helping you because nobody should ever face what you have faced. It's your time to concentrate on what needs to be done. I don't need the credit. I'm doing this because it's the right thing to do."
3. Mark is a big reason Shark Tank didn't get cancelled after year 3. Since ratings didn't skyrocket in seasons 1 and 2, ABC had to decide if they should renew the show. We asked many famous business people to be guests to help raise awareness and help the show so we could support more entrepreneurs. They all said no because they didn't want to sit next to Barb, Kev, Rob, Lori, and myself. They said we weren't "famous" enough. Mark found out the show was loved by kids and families and agreed to do the show because it would help American families and our future entrepreneurs. He then went on the big late-night shows and promoted Shark Tank. The ratings took off after that, and the rest is history.
4. He drank Mad Dog 20/20 in college 🤮. Any person that can drink that S$&T and still be alive is the real deal!
5. He created Mark Cuban Cost Plus Drug Company to give access to affordable drugs to everyone to save lives.
