Rehabilitation: Restoring Integrity to an Aging Wellhead System

There’s still more maintenance ahead on this antiquated wellhead system, but this was a critical first step in restoring functionality.

Our team removed what remained of the deteriorated gland nut and pin assemblies, cleaned and chased the threads, and installed new components to bring the system back to operational condition.

With the new gland nut and pin assemblies in place, the head can now properly maintain pressure control in the void annulus and securely lock the casing hanger as designed.

Great work by the crew continuing to safely and efficiently upgrades these aging assets!
